1. Eligibility for Repairs

  • Products Covered: We offer repair services for a wide range of electronic devices, including but not limited to:

    • Smartwatches & Wearables
    • Gaming Consoles
    • Home Appliances
  • Warranty Repairs: If your product is within its warranty period, repairs are usually covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. Please check the manufacturer’s warranty terms and conditions for coverage details.
  • Out-of-Warranty Repairs: Products that are no longer covered by the manufacturer’s warranty can still be repaired through our service center. Charges for out-of-warranty repairs will be based on the type of issue and the specific product.

2. How to Request a Repair

  • In-Store Repairs: Visit any of our Price Point Electronics stores with the device you wish to repair. Our technician will assess the issue and provide an estimate for the repair cost and timeline.
  • Online Repairs: If you prefer to request a repair online, contact our customer service team at repairs@pricepoint.co.ke. You will need to provide details of the issue and your product’s make, model, and serial number. We will guide you through the process and, if needed, provide shipping instructions.

3. Repair Assessment

  • Diagnosis Fee: We offer free diagnosis for many products, but some items may incur a small diagnostic fee. This fee will be communicated to you before the diagnosis begins. The fee will be credited towards the repair cost if you decide to go ahead with the repair.
  • Estimate: After diagnosing the issue, we will provide you with an estimated cost and timeline for the repair. You can choose to accept or decline the repair based on this estimate.

4. Repair Timeframe

  • Standard Repairs: Most repairs are completed within 1-3 business days. The exact timeframe will depend on the nature of the issue, availability of parts, and the workload of our repair center.
  • Complex Repairs or Special Orders: For more complex repairs or cases where special parts need to be ordered, repairs may take longer. We will inform you if the repair will take more than the standard timeframe.

5. Repair Costs

  • Repair Pricing: The cost of repairs varies based on the type of product, the issue, and the parts required. We will provide an upfront estimate before starting any work.
  • Parts: If replacement parts are required, the cost will depend on the type and brand of parts used. We always use high-quality parts to ensure the best results for your device.

6. Warranty on Repairs

  • Repair Warranty: All repairs carried out by Price Point Electronics come with a 3-month warranty on the parts and labor used. If the same issue reoccurs within this period, we will re-repair the product free of charge, provided the issue is identical to the original one.
  • Exclusions from Repair Warranty: The repair warranty does not cover damage caused by:
    • Accidental drops or physical damage
    • Water or liquid damage
    • Improper usage
    • Modifications to the device that were not part of the repair

7. Collection and Delivery

  • In-Store Pickup: Once your repair is complete, you can pick up the device at any Price Point Electronics store.
  • Delivery Service: If you requested the repair online, we offer delivery options to return your repaired product to you. The delivery cost will be borne by the customer, unless otherwise stated.

8. Non-Repairable Devices

In some cases, your device may be deemed non-repairable due to severe damage, discontinued parts, or other factors. If this happens, we will inform you immediately and discuss your options, which may include replacing the device or offering you a trade-in.

9. Customer Responsibility

  • Data Backup: Before submitting your device for repair, please ensure that all your data is backed up. We are not responsible for any data loss during the repair process.
  • Resetting Devices: We may ask you to perform a factory reset on certain devices before submitting them for repair. This is important for data protection and privacy purposes.
