About the Oppo Find N

Oppo Find N Android Foldable Smartphone was launched in December 2021. It is running on the Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 5G (5 nm) processor with Adreno 660 GPU. The phone has 16 GB RAM and 512 GB of internal storage which is not expandable. The Oppo Find N has a 7.1 inches, 1792 x 1920 pixels AMOLED display with a pixel density of 370 PPI. It has Gorilla Glass protection as well. Coming to cameras, it has a 50 MP rear camera and a 32 MP front camera for selfies.

It has a USB Type-C port for data syncing and charging. There is a fingerprint sensor present on the Oppo Find N as well, along with a magnetic field sensor (compass), gyroscope sensor, proximity sensor, and accelerometer sensor. It is a dual SIM smartphone with support for 3G, USB OTG, NFC, Wi-Fi, and GPS too. The Oppo Find N runs on Android 11 and all this is powered by a 4500 mAh battery. It measures Unfolded: 132.6 x 140.2 x 8.0 mm Folded: 132.6 x 73 x 15.9 mm (height x width x thickness) with a total weight of 275 grams including battery.

Perfectly dimensioned

The Oppo Find N wants to do better than Samsung’s Galaxy Fold, Samsung’s Galaxy Flip, or Xiaomi’s Fold. The smartphone from the Far East has the potential to do so with a rollable display, an outstandingly good camera, and an intelligent display concept with matching software support. The installed hardware is also on a top level.

High quality from all angles

It is already obvious at first glance and even more so during a close inspection: Oppo has not launched a prototype, but also an absolutely mature series model. Thanks to the special hinge and the flexible display, which consists of 12 individual layers, the smartphone offers a very long service life. At the same time, the annoying kink in the center of the OLED almost completely disappears. Thanks to its compact design, the Oppo Find N also has a pleasant size of 132.6 x 73.0 x 15.9 mm. The weight of 275 g is also comparatively low. Other foldable are much chunkier.

Making two into three – the displays

The main attraction of the Oppo Find N is the two built-in displays. A 5.5-inch panel can be accessed on the front when folded, which is only 0.1 inches more than the current iPhone Mini. The comparatively small front display makes the compact form factor possible. However, opening the smartphone reveals an appealingly large display with a size of 7.1 inches.

The manufacturer from China relies on OLED panels on the outside as well as on the inside, which offers a resolution of 1972 x 988 pixels and 1792 x 1920 pixels. The screens both offer a brightness of 800 nits. However, there are differences in terms of speed. The front panel offers a 60 Hz refresh rate and a sampling rate of 240 Hz. The main screen on the other hand supports 120 Hz with a sampling rate of 180 Hz.

Not a compromise, but a flagship: The camera

In terms of the camera, the previously available foldable make a compromise. Not so Oppo, because the Find N is already equipped with quality on the front. A 32-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture is hidden in the slim punch hole. Of course, the main camera offers much more possibilities.

The triple camera is led by a 50-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture and OIS, which could already prove its skills in the Find X3 Pro. Panoramic shots are taken using the 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The trio is rounded off by a 13-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and 2x optical zoom.

Only the best for the flagship

Only the best is good enough for the Oppo Find N. Nothing less than a Snapdragon 888 slumbers inside. The octa-core CPU clocks with up to 2.84 GHz and is accompanied by an Adreno 660 GPU. Supplemented by a more than generous 8 GB LPDDR5 RAM, current apps will not be able to exhaust the smartphone. In terms of performance, the Oppo Find N is well equipped for the future. The same applies to internal storage. A total of 256 GB of UFS 3.1 ROM is waiting to be filled with games or other applications.

5G is just the beginning

All details are really right in the Oppo Find N. Far from the big highlights, the foldable smartphone is a luxury-class device and is equipped accordingly. Full 5G support is only the beginning. Maximum data bandwidth is enabled within known networks thanks to WiFi 6. Smartwatches and wireless headphones can be connected via Bluetooth 5.2. An NFC chip for contactless payment is also available, as well as a fingerprint sensor that is hidden in the casing’s side.

Charge quickly and use for a long time

A lot is also offered in terms of charging technology and battery capacity. A 4500 mAh battery serves as the internal power source. In view of the comparably compact display, the battery runtime will at least match that of the current Samsung Fold. The battery can be charged with up to 33 W via a USB C cable. Wireless charging with up to 15 W is also possible.
